 Since 1982, Brehm Preparatory School, Inc. has empowered students with learning disabilities and differences to recognize and optimize their potential. Brehm Preparatory School, Inc., currently is seeking part-time tutors to provide academic support and enrichment to our students in the biology, chemistry, physics and math fields.

Position Overview:

Tutors work with the students on an individual basis or in a group setting to provide homework support and ensure the quality of homework.

  • Work with assigned students, either individually, or in a group format for the academic support in homework completion and quality of homework completed.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of learning disabilities, learning styles, and life skill strategies
  • Knowledge of policies, protocols, systems, and procedures established to enhance student programming
  • Knowledge in the of study of chemistry, biology, physics, mathematics, education, preferred
  • Familiarity with child & adolescent development a plus
  • Knowledge of GSuites, a plus

Supervision of Others:

  • Supervise students

Educational Requirements: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associates Degree or higher in a field related to a science or math preferred

 Working Hours and Conditions

  • 10-29 hours per week
  • Travel away from home is not required
  • Working hours are projected to be 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and Monday and Wednesday evenings from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.  Hours may involve other pre-arranged shifts due to sporting and academic events.
